Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is covered by insurance if their is a medical necessity. Typically I see clients that have met the criteria for medical necessity weekly or bi-weekly. Consistent treatment allows us to build momentum on a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust which is a key aspect of healing and enduring change. During the therapeutic hour I can and will bring in elements from different modalities as needed and as time permits. I work with clients on a variety of concerns and conditions, including: depression, anxiety, trauma/abuse, life transitions and grief.

Holistic Elements
In my work I utilize what I call Holistic Psychotherapy, which is another way to say that I draw from a lot of different modalities to help heal the mind, body and spirit. How I use these modalities is different for each and every client.
For traditional psychotherapeutic modalities I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, humanistic psychology and intersubjectivity.
For non-traditional modalities I draw from a mind-body approach: mindfulness based stress reduction, somatic psychology, aromatherapy, somatic breathwork, guided imagery and Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy. I often utilize hypnotherapy with people that are open to doing deep internal work. I have found that some combination of the above methods can lead to profound changes in people's lives much faster than just using one method alone.

Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy
Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is a powerful healing modality. This is a deep subconscious process different than hypnosis. It is practiced in a relaxed state of consciousness to get underneath self-sabotaging patterns of behavior and agreements made in childhood that are now keeping the adult stuck in life. For people that are looking for lasting changes, clarity on patterns and recalibrating the self - this is an effective way to access this level of healing. This type of hypnotherapy goes straight to the source of the "faulty" programming that we have been running on. Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy is one of the most direct ways to re-program the internal tapes that play in the mind and control behavior. We can talk about our patterns or concerns over and over in the conscious mind, but in order to change the programming we have to access it through the subconscious. People emerge from these sessions feeling freer of their inner judgment, shame, guilt, anger, grief, jealousy, abandonment, loneliness, and anxiety.
I believe in the results of this modality: I live it, I teach it to other therapists and facilitate it for clients both individually and in groups. I am always in awe at the powerful impact that these deep hypnotherapy sessions can have on a person .
